A decent set for the price

I bought this dilator set to use for therapy for scar tissue resulting from a tear during child birth. It does its job and works well for me, since I only needed a simple set. The vibrator works just fine, though it took a little bit to figure out that I needed to remove the plastic sleeve from the battery compartment to put the batteries in. The "locking ring" that is advertised as coming with the set is actually attached to the set, not a separate piece as is shown in the pictures. I have not tried anything with the silicone sleeve, so I cannot comment on that.After having used this set, I would probably buy another, slightly more expensive set. This set is very hard plastic, it has no give to it, which is very uncomfortable. Since buying this set, I have learned that softer cones are recommended for dilation therapy because they give a gentler stretch and mimic real life. The cones are tapered only at the very tip, it would be nicer to have cones that have a slightly more elongated taper so that you can slowly work up to the full dilation. The vibrator does not really add any value to the set as it really isn't that great of a vibrator--if you want a vibrator, buy a real vibrator. The set did not come with any instructions to assist with use--it would have been nice to have some suggestions as to how often and how long to use the dilators.So, if I had known all of this when I was looking for a set of dilators, I would have spent a little more money and bought a different set.

What Can I Say?

Well, as someone suffering from Vaginismus, I was looking for a vibrator in a medical grade to help my "exercising". This set is exactly like the medical grade set I paid over $100 for plus it vibrates so that is good to me! I wish I had come accross this before buying the other set. Plus, it comes with that other clear cover thing which is a lot of fun!

It works!!

Due to a physically traumatic attack that resulted in PTSD, I'm in terrible, immobilizing pain in this area. My GYN recommended this as a way to relax my muscles and ease the fear. It's worked. I just began pelvic biofeedback and my therapist told me that using the dilator in conjunction with her work would be very beneficial, doing pelvic floor exercises with it. I have not used the vibration due to my pain, but she told me to use it so my muscles will relax more--easing stress and pain. I left off a star because I need it longer in the smaller diameters, to desensitize the nerves.
